Countdowns - with Widget App Reviews

This app worked for a short time, so I e-mailed and never got a response. Not worth it!

I have the Mac version and iOS version. the reminders synch across iCloud, including Emoji icons! The reminders are also in the Mac notification center as well as the iPhone notification screen. The iPad does not have a notification center selection - maybe it’ll be there later but all three devices are synchronized!

Doesn’t work for me either. I got the same results as one other reviewer: I can add an event but it doesn’t save. I emailed the creator. He sent me a FAQ link, but no solutions to fix the problem. Maybe if he actually reads his rating responses, it will get more action, than the emaied “auto response”. But right now the widget is useless. At least it was only 99 cents.

waste of time and money

I have no idea where the one star reviews are coming from. I’ve found this to be a reliable, easy-to-use app.

SO simple and easy to use. Clean editing interface and I love that this thing sits in my widgets with like 15 countdowns for all my Med. block and shelf exams. I dont know how to get this on my ipad or iphone but my mac is my main organizer. Keep up the great work guys!

This last software update works nicely with MAC, iPhone and iPad. It now syncs immediately across all devices. The simplicity is elegant and I am available to attach emoji figures to each item for a more visual appeal.

I’ve had some problems with the reliability of the app in the sidebar. It has trouble at points, but removing and the replacing the app makes it work again. The app definitely does what it says it does, but it is fairly featureless. A simple feature they could add is making it so you could choose between counting every day and only weekdays. Overall pretty good.

Dates disappear and need to be resubmitted each time notifications is closed. Absolutely no sync even with Icloud enabled. Support request ignored. Save your .99 cents.

The app use to be great however syncing has been lost ever since the last update. Events display correctly on my iPhone but do not show up on my MacBook Pro or iMac. I tried turning off/on iCloud sync as well as uninstalling/reinstalling the app. Just wish it would work again.

I’ve never really felt like leaving a review before, much less a negative review, but this app just doesn’t work… On iOS or OS X. I unlocked the Unlimited feature twice, once on each device. The iCloud sync doesn’t work. The stand alone OS X app and widget don’t even sync correctly (when it even shows up on the today view). Sometimes I see my countowns doubled (two side by side), sometimes they delete themselves, and sometimes they just refuse to update an edit I make. I’d love to come back and update this review when and if it works, but right now this app is full of FAIL.

I use the unlocked version of the app on my computer, phone and watch. Small, simple and does exactly what it says. I tried a few apps before trying this one, well worth the money.

Overall I like this app, Ihave it on my iOS devices as well as my Macs. The iCloud Sync is unreliable and would like to see Dropbox support added.

This app is great! I even bought the Unlock Unlimited IAP to unlock its full potential. Its simple to use, and useful in the long run. It even has a Notification Center widget! However the only problem is that when you create an event in the Notification center, it doesn’t show up in the main app. THe only way is to currently create the event in the main app first before it’ll show up in the widget. This isn’t terrible but just increadilbly inconvenient when you need to create an event on the fly. Hopefully this will be fixed.

Internal ERROR!!! its not working

Ive been looking for a menu bar app that shows a day count down, but all I have seen only show hours, minutes, etc. If you know of a good one let me know!

I have the app on both my Mac mini and iPhone. The cloud sync takes a long time to work between devices, otherwise the concept is great.

I was happy that this application was able to work for sync across all devices that I owned, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Macbook and Macbook Pro. Recently i see that the entries created on my Macbook Pro, it didnt get pushed over to my mobile devices and this gets very frustrating. It asked me to pay for unlocked version which I have done so. This is not what it earlier promised. Bad integrity.

Nice concept, terrible functionality. Most people I know who use countdown apps don’t use them for things that are only a month away. It’s idiotic to limit the free version that much. Deleting until it’s at least bumped up to six months.

I’ve not been able to do any real testing, but seeing as my previous rating was based mostly on issues with iCloud I’m bumping the rating since iCloud was fully revamped (I’ll post a full review after using it for a while to see if the issues are truely corrected).
