The app is good. Does what it supposed to. The only reason for 3 stars is that i can’t unlock full features. I paid once already, but it won’t let me add more that 3 countdowns, always asking me to purchase. Please fix it!
The free version only lets your countdown be 30 days and there is not an option for recouring events like birthdays. Waste of time
In the window that opens for the app, it says Hours when it means minutes. The full version costs .99 to let you do unlimited time, but that isn’t worth .99. It’s a simple app, the entire thing is barely worth .99. If it was part of a better calender app I could see buying it, but otherwise it isn’t worth your time.
Do people not remember how shareware works? Either a time- or feature-limited version of an app available for free, which can then be unlocked via a small purchase if you decide you want the extra features? More App Store apps should be using In-App Purchases to provide a free demo, since the App Store doesn’t really have any other way to ‘try before you buy.
So I wanted a countdown to an upcoming trip in 3 months, but too bad the trial only let’s you set a countdown is 30 days. I am pretty positive that everyone knows what a countdown is, so it’s not like we need to try out the countdown itself, just the mechanics of it; how it notifies, personalization, usability, etc. So a helpful trial would be providing a max of 3-5 countdowns, not that you can try a couple out for 30 days! COMPLETE waste of time and waste of space on my computer!!!
It took me a minute to notice the popup text that appeared when entering a count-down to my birthday (Febuary 24th); a message came up to inform me that count-down’s were limited to 30 days without paying for the full version. It’s rather convenient on the dev’s part though for ommiting a demo reference in the app’s title, because by doing so, would only decrease the number of downloads - marketing 101.
How do you sync events between the OS X version and the iOS version? Having trouble with that.
Just know going in that you’ll be paying 99¢ and you’ll like the app. Looks good. Works well.
I can’t understand the negative reivews for this app. It does exactly what it says: a quick and simply way to track days until an event. AND there is both an OS X and iOS version which now sync via iCloud. So events are synchronized between devices! Great way to stay on top of upcoming events. Try the free demo and it you like it, make the .99 cent investment for a very useful tool.
It’s also neat that I can set a time by moving the hands on a clock. Remember it doesn’t say Free, it says Get.
What is the point of a program that doesnt save the dates you put in after you close it? There is no save function, the program doesnt sync with the notification bar widget, and there isn’t even some sort of pop up when a countdown ends. I would have been less dissapointed spending that dollar on a decarbonated diet mountain dew.
Love this app, great app. Would be AWESOME if I could color coordinate each event.
This app insists on every destination date being the 1st of the month and won’t tolerate any change.
Got fooled by the icon, hoping this would have a nice, easy-to-ready circular progress circle. Nope. Just text. :/
The free version of this app limits you to 30 days. Not much of a countdown.
I give this app 4 stars because I think there is room to add more functionality. I emailed the dev. about a problem I was experiencing and he got back to me very promptly. We emailed back and forth a bit and my issue was resolved. I appreciate that kind of responsible involvement, he obviously cares about the app and me the client as well. Great job...
The app only lets you do a countdown that is less than 30 days away! You have to buy the other app if your date is longer than 30 days. so…..basically dont get this app. completely worthless.
I think it could use, say, customization of how dates are given to me. Choices between “XXX days,” “X months Y days,” etc. A progress bar could be a good addition as well. Other than that, good app!
I actually paid the $0.99 to do the in-app purchase and be able to track events outside of 30 days. It doesn’t work for me. I can add events all day long but when I close out of the app it doesn’t save them. Complete waste of a dollar...but at least it’s only a dollar
